Georgia Athanasopoulou is a visual artist based in Athens, Greece. She works on long term photo projects focusing in post-human era, tradition and its crisis in Greece.


She studied photography in Leica Academy Greece.


Following her graduation from Leica, in 2021, Georgia attended training seminars in documentary photography and visual storytelling at the (HCP) Hellenic Center for Photography. Moreover she has joined in particular workshops such as “On the road” with Enri Canaj and “Mystery 65: Reframe Eleusis” as part of the artistic program for European Capital of culture in 2023.


Between 2021 and 2023, Georgia traveled a lot in Greece in order to seek and find her inspiration. She is currently developing her personal project close to home, in Athens and she collaborates with οther artists and creators.
